  Doesn’t fall into the biopic trap of just giving a compilation of greatest hits of a famous person’s life. Rather it chooses a period of time and creates a movie with a bit of plot and structure, and moves along at an engaging pace.

  Chalamet does great and you get to listen to Dylan throughout.

  I was shocked at how bad this was.

  Nothing worked. Why was every scene apart from the battles about 40 seconds long!? It didn’t allow for any exploration of our characters, or have any thematic through line. It just went through the motions of this thing happened and then this thing.

  The characters were automatons. If I hadn’t seen Joaquin Phoenix in other movies I would have thought he was a terrible actor based on this portrayal.
