Either one of the most powerful examples of serendipitous documentary filmmaking or an unbelievable show of narrative synergy by the WWF. Maybe it’s a little too inside baseball for anyone not familiar with professional wrestling. Regardless it’s an incredibly engrossing and interesting look into one of the greatest professional wrestlers and one of the most famous professional wrestling families of all time.

Waiting for Guffman 1996
An all timer for me, and it truly stands toe to toe with any other CG movie, including Spinal Tap. There is a depth of earnestness throughout that makes everything feel more authentic. I’m always struck by how elated and engaged the citizens of Blaine are while watching Corky’s masterpiece unfold on stage. While it’s especially relevant to anyone with aspirations as an actor, I think any viewer who has dreamed of some kind of greater life would be able to relate.
