Robert Pattinson acting his fucking heart out, and I am so here for it. He was a delight. I liked the scfi-clone-Star-Trek-critter story, not so much the Mark-Ruffalo-and-Pigeon-Man buffoonery.
Meh, it didn't need to be perfect; I had a great time at the movies seeing this on opening weekend just because I was excited to check it out.
What I already know: Valentino is a diiiiva! What I did not know: Giancarlo Giammetti is the stabilizing force behind nearly all of Valentino's success. He's my new patron saint of patience and understanding; it's amazing to watch the dynamic between those two. Far less beautiful, but still entertaining, are the moments Valentino & Lagerfeld spend whispering to each other.
