Manhattan 1979
"Manhattan" is, like it's director and star, quite unfortunate. It's incredibly funny at times, melancholic and romantic at others, but very creepy throughout. There's not many fresh ways to express that it's maybe not very tasteful to write yourself as the 42-year old dating a high schooler. The main character, Isaac, acknowledges the absurdity of his relationship from the beginning, but the self-deprecation only goes so far without actually denouncing the behavior (I wonder why...).
