Sook Yin Lee is one of my personal heroes and I was super stoked to have had the privilege to watch this film with her in attendance doing a Q&A!!
A warm and thoughtful film full of heart that challenges one to think about their personal relationship to love, sex, possessiveness, and monogamy. Sex work is work, and sex workers deserve rights in their profession, and it was refeeshing to see a truly humanizing portrayal of sex workers.
This film was also very clearly a love letter to the Toronto of the late 90s/early 00s and the CanCon of it all was deeply charming.
