  I cannot believe this is rated so lowly. I thought this was genuinely good way to make a movie about porn addiction - and definitely way more mature than I imagined it would be. It meets the topic head on, without shying away at all, and actually feels like good advice to the audience.

  I did quite like this one. I don't have a lot to say about it really, but it's easy to see why it's as iconic as it is. Between all the musical numbers and Donald O'Connor consistently getting sploinky with it, I had a lot of fun. Debbie Reynolds and Gene Kelly had really good chemistry with each other - but gene Kelly looks way too much like Ben Affleck, which kept bugging me. Very Charming!

  Very, very funny. Not every joke lands, but in standard mel brooks fashion, they roll with it and jump back up straight into the next joke. I'm sure there's one or two that went over my head, but a rewatch will probably fix that. As parody movies go, this is up there with the best. Easy to see why it's so loved by so many.

  I watched this a few days ago but never got around to logging it. So here it is!

  Robert Eggers was the perfect person to direct this. He creates such a haunting atmosphere that is perfect for the film. I can only assume this is what they were attempting to create in the original, because I can't imagine it being done any better than this. It's genuinely quite frightening at times, especially because of Lily Rose Depp and Bill Skarsgard…
