This was a cute movie. I don’t know how describe the music: 90s jazz? It helped set the pace and tone (both optimistic and a bit sad at once) delightfully
I had a girlfriend who had Faye Wong’s vibe a few years back. I should call her

Desperate and melancholy. I kept wanting the characters to say something nice to each another
A tense, sorrowful story about a man taking everything from his wife while dealing with question of whether he still loves her, and vice versa. Many people die in graphic ways. In the end, it’s not quite clear who the winners and losers are. If you are freshly out of a breakup and want to go to the movies, I suggest Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie instead. 4 stars.
Michael Fassbender’s agent has screwed him over many times over the course of his career, but on this one he did him a solid. This is a story that has roughly been told before, but I think it’s worth watching because the writing is good. 4 stars.
