bumping this movie up half a star because I noticed a sequence where the nun takes a book off the bookshelf must have been crazy to animate only because of how (relatively) rough it was to everything else which made me then realize that I was probably undervaluing a lot of the animation choices they made in this movie. totosko being a gay disaster always improves my day

Black Bag 2025
my favorite detail on the rewatch is how the camera moves and where the camera is placed based around the emotional state of the characters involved. One of those things Fincher did in The Killer. I’m convinced that the opening shot was based around Soderbergh having to practice that type of thing for Presence and wanting to use that skill in more than one movie.
