wish i had seen this film back when it was released, in 2003. and i’m guessing the characters in the movie wish the same, to have seen dragon inn in 1967. not out of a sense of nostalgia per se but rather because it would have just been different.

truly the strangest defense of robert moses i’ve ever seen. a 60s centrist version of the fountainhead, a love letter to hudson yards and the marketplace of ideas. i obviously find the ideology vile. 

honestly it was a fun thing to see with a group of friends! shoutout to the mayor getting booed constantly, the (numerous) hidden weapon gags, the scene with shia labeouf and aubrey plaza, and the MSG gladiator pit.
