An excellent cast led by Matt Damon’s grieving husband/protective father. Incredible parallels can be drawn to our current pandemic...and that’s pretty scary from a movie made 9 years ago! Strong cut scenes and great editing by Soderbergh combined with a haunting score makes this a must see

Better than it had a right to be. Some excellent visuals and strong editing followed by some over-edited scenes with too much CGI. But somewhat redeemed with great fight scenes and a strong, committed performance from Will Smith. Ang Lee can do action!

A gripping drama from Tom Ford with whip smart editing and top notch performances. Amy Adams is strong as always, Michael Shannon is great and Laura Linney is biting as the elitist Mother. But for me, this is Jake Gyllenhall’s movie. In a dual role, he shines, exuding true emotions, believable rage and the embodiment of the underlying theme of “a weak man”.

An excellent depiction of the descent into madness of a man with severe mental illness and the apathetic and broken mental health system. Some excellent editing and direction from Phillips and a remarkable, transformative performance from Phoenix worthy of his Oscar. This film will stay with me for some time. Also, a very creative way to set up tension with and prep for a showdown with Bruce Wayne’s alter ego.
