These short films are hitting me with some untapped nostalgia of sitting in a classroom having my teacher read stories for the whole class.
The little "mistakes" purposely made in this movie, such as having actors glance at each other or the camera slightly, forgetting their cues etc. Was strange at first but it really adds to the way the story is being told to the audience
Are we supposed to laugh at the turtle showing his ass to the audience? Or when the skunk farts? Did you laugh when the squirrel said the hedge is called Steve and the movie tried to pass it off as a joke? How can "Steve" be the punchline to "do you think it has a name?"?
