    "It’s not the journey, it’s the destination."

    At 3.5 hours long, I don't think this film earned that closing line. A film of this length should have a more defined message, which I felt was lacking—probably explaining why its alleged Zionist undertones have been misinterpreted.

    Inspired by There Will Be Blood—both in style and in its exploration of a character consumed by ambition—PTA and Daniel Day-Lewis, in an hour less, manage to present a far more incisive critique of how capitalism, pride, and American society fuel destruction under the guise of progress.
