  The introduction of Igor is just incredible.

  I feel like this film, despite being perfectly written and directed, still lacks that little pinch of something to achieve greatness - a little too clean and not as brave or deep as it could have been

  I don't like to read films in terms of class struggle but Moana is unapologetically a celebration of the privileged white girl "finding myself and excusing it with the cosmic good" coated with Polynesian culture.

  Sure, refusing your responsibilities because you want to wander the sea (metaphor of the wanna-be-communist&connected-with-nature van life) is indeed a good message to share.

  Also the animation and the landscapes are subpar quality and so are the songs that manage to not stick every time.…
