  “The sea has the power to beguile. Back when dad was fishing, he once saw a maborosi - a strange light - far out to sea. Something in it was beckoning to him, he said... It happens to all of us.”

  I think one of the best movies I’ve ever come across that talks about grief. What surprised me though is how restrained all of it was. No grand speeches or over explained backstories. It just kinda had routine details…

  They ****** out too much for me to actually understand what was happening. I thought we were talking about environmental justice? But why are they staring at each other like that???? Was this Sci-Fi? A romance? What was going on- who knows.
