Civil War 2024
Wow this movie was intense!!! Edge of my seat the entire time. Of the few war movies I’ve seen, this was probably the rawest and hardest hitting. And watching it with the backdrop of the current state of politics and democracy in the US made it all the more chilling. People who critique this movie for not providing more background on the war itself I think are missing the bigger point. IMO staying light on those specifics lets the focus…

The Informant! 2009
Overall a very enjoyable watch. Liked the tone of the movie a lot. Middle aged midwestern white guys doing white collar crimes is a fun schtick. Main negative was the middle dragged a bit too much. Once we get the picture on what’s going on, there’s a lot of filler.

A Different Man 2024
Excellent movie. Very different from anything I’d seen before. At the start I thought it was gonna be one long bummer of a movie but it went in such a different direction. One of those movies that gets better as it goes and has you thinking about it well after it’s over. Recommend!
