My mirror neurons were on fire.

Hollywood’s good boy is 2 for 2 this year! This was better than it had any right to be. Largely due to excellent performances, great chemistry between Jack Quaid and anyone he shared the screen with, and the generally good writing.

If you’d told me that a 2024 biopic about Robbie Williams would surpass those released the same year about Pharrell, Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley, and Bob Dylan, I’d have asked you to remind me who Robbie Williams was.

And yet, it absolutely took the crown of the battle of the musical biopics. The film was bursting with energy and life, offering a distinct visual style while still firmly staying within the genre. Surprisingly, the CGI chimp was a standout feature—it…
