My mirror neurons were on fire.
Hollywood’s good boy is 2 for 2 this year! This was better than it had any right to be. Largely due to excellent performances, great chemistry between Jack Quaid and anyone he shared the screen with, and the generally good writing.
This really doesn’t break any new ground. The plot beats, character dynamics and archetypes, and comedy have all been done before. But there weren’t many missteps here and it was generally quite enjoyable from beginning to end. I liked.
