Chilean woman with Irish husband who lives in Hong Kong and does design in Nepal every few months suggested it to me on the plane as we took off so I had to watch it

I had fun with it! Some very comical moments with sincere family drama mixed in. Interesting to see how people view death. The main tao priest suggested that doing anything other than what they do is “preventing them on going on the bus to the afterlife”

    +1 for the Vancouver mention

I actually never watched this fully only in bits so I was pleasantly surprised when this was a BANGER holy shit the vibes of the early 2000s and car culture and everything about it makes it such a time piece that it will always be classic. Honestly debating put on top 4 after watch

The chase scenes were hilarious tho bc you definitely did not need to drift you can chase someone normally in a car

Genuinely terrified at times and maybe didn’t engage me as much so I couldn’t enjoy sadly lol I don’t watch scary movies a lot

Still a cool retelling of the guy who makes those coco puffs and a girl who couldn’t get enough

When I saw willem defoes character it was like that scene in avengers and I clapped

Truly an American epic in size scale sound (oh man the sound was TERRIFIC) and shot (emphasis on the shots, they were oh so beautiful), but maybe less on the story. American dream bad and not reality - I been knew

They finally made a movie about the Dana Porter Library at my Alma mater University of Waterloo though, so I’ll give an extra 1/2 star for that (iykyk)
