  such highly imaginative character design and whimsy!!!! i’m so stunned and amazed by the art shown in miyazaki’s cinematic worlds.

  the end left me hungry for a more pressing moral conclusion, because the end as it is features no consequence against the deer-god-killing empress. is the takeaway that life is unfair? that humans will be cruel and yet won’t have to atone for their sins? nonetheless i’m so wowed by the impactful visuals and complex inner world of Princess Mononoke
