    The film has the quiet ambition steeped in tradition as it's wannabe popes. It is very impressive feat of writing and acting to have this many characters and subplots, but never once felt confusing, predictable, or boring. A few excellently blocked shots and you can never go wrong with the eternal city as the setting.
