  Edit: this was bad

  Rough cut. Schrader cribbing from better and more contemporary directors WITH the exception of his portrayal of Abu Ghraib, which single-handedly makes the movie worth watching. If he had applied the same depth of feeling and inventiveness elsewhere in the movie, this could've been something unique. We'll see how the final cut fares.
