  Fernanda Torres puts forward a great acting performance, but I found it difficult to connect with anything else in this film. Think the biggest issue was the pacing, there are a handful of tense moments which are then followed with long periods of, what is effectively, silence and pondering - completely takes the foot off the brakes, I just found this to be frustrating rather than effective

  I think there’s a better movie hidden in here somewhere. What this movie needed was stronger characters imo, it didn’t really spend any time in developing their relationships and this translated on screen as the characters feel hollow and disconnected from one another. There’s an argument that this is the point, given the subject matter of the film, although I think that it more so demonstrates poor execution. The movie is well shot but chooses to use this sickly yellow contrast for most of the duration that are such an eyesore, great acting by Ewan McGregor though. The score by Christopher Bear is also commendable
