I might subtract a half star if this was part of a feature, but as a 20 minute short it's a very good suspense piece, if totally bloodless. I have to wonder if John Carpenter ever saw this, or even heard of it. There are similarities with Halloween, but of course also major differences.

NRA is for National Recovery Administration folks, it's 1933. That out of the way, it's one of the most bizarre cartoons I've seen in a while and I really need to research more on this Little King character, who, here at least, takes home a couple of "hobos", has a bath with them, then sneaks past his wife. This leaves out all the Xmas stuff....
