I would say this is weaker than the first although still fantastic. Held back by the fact it has two first acts and a second act instead of a standard 3 act structure. Very much is part of a larger story and does not stand on it’s own. Still, it’s more spiderverse and sets up the third movie so well it’s hard to hold any of these transgressions against it too much.

Insanely disappointing. Hard not to feel like the concept of Anno doing Kamen Rider should have amounted to more than just nostalgia-jerking over the shit he watched as a kid for 2 hours. More of a tribute to the original series/manga than it is a movie that stands on it’s own.
