  Bloated, frustrating, exhausting - the musical version of both too much and not enough. Why was it so hard to just let Cynthia have her moment, damn. The cast is fantastic and music is still aces. There *might* be a 4-star movie adaptation of Wicked out there, but this definitely ain’t it.

  A beautiful little poem of a film with big Spielberg/Pixar energy, it’s a perfect illustration of how many children cope with trauma and stressors, but represented in a means that remains light and accessible. Also, Fiona Shaw and Steve Carell are treasures.
