This is the absolutely laziest form of film commentary but that doesn’t make it any less true that this hits way harder watching it as a parent compared to watching it prior to having kids. My reaction then was “neat, but hokey.” Today, “doesn’t quite nail the dismount, but tonally perfect.”

I’m generally not a huge anti-spoiler guy, but one reason to avoid them is so you can watch this and then at the end go “oh…so *that’s* why it’s called ‘Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood’!”
