A little disappointed as I'm a big fan of Vincent Price. He seems miscast for a reason I can't seem to grasp and the production isn't the best. Dubbing and sound is a little off and the vampiric infected seems a little sluggishly portrayed.
Some nice shots of desolation and good lighting, Price does a job but it didn't do a lot for me and the ending was also weak. I am Legend decades later had a better idea and execution.

The level of skill and work that goes into the incredible effects displayed in this movie deserve all the appreciation imaginable.
It keeps you smiling throughout, maintains a frantic pace reminiscent of the old Benny Hill sketches and Massari's score is hand in hand with Jittlov's energy.
I loved this, and as a fan of the 1979 short this is based around, it's as satisfying as it is an uplifting joy

Hugh Grant has been wasted in romantic comedy.
His performance is a huge part of why this was so successful in my eyes.
Tension created, we don't know much about the girls which I guess can be taken either way but it's all about Grant. It's dark and uncomfortable and a decent watch

Sensational visuals throughout - iconic monster and Karloff captures his tragedy gloriously.
The scene with the young girl is a VERY bold and brave move in any era but in 1931 it’s practically taboo. One of the leading classic horror movies and a universal triumph
