  Hell of a good time with this fun, slightly trashy and sordid crime drama. Few of the turns really surprise, but the simmering courtroom drama boils over well thanks to a great Norton performance.

  No movie brings me as much joy.

  This viewing I loved every line staking one’s territory, not just within the House of Woodcock but the subtle digs at Alma for being an unwelcome foreigner. Cyril sniffing Alma; “I live here,” one of my favorite line deliveries; “If I don't protect myself, somebody will come in the middle of the night and take over my corner of the room, and ask me about their fucking asparagus.” Such a layered, funny movie. …
