just watched Waterloo (1970) now I'm convinced that Sir. Ridley is either forgot how to make decent films or he's a real butthurt british gentleman lol.

It made me reflect on my dynamic with my cousin Aykut—similar, tangled, yet distinct. Somehow I also saw myself split between Benji and David, each resonated with significant pieces of me. Emotions, this layered, are hard to articulate... but these two nail it in their contrast. Also, we gotta swap Pierre Loti Graveyard for Gostivar next time with my cousin, being a good road-trip movie "A Real Pain" made me feel this is a necessity as a bonding activity.

Perfectly balanced the action with the detective work. May be a little bit more Bruce Wayne alongside Batman but still works. Color palette and usage of lighting was amazing throughout the film. Every scene has its own spectacular framing. Well enough storytelling with splendid acting. Costume and general vibe reminded me The Arkham City's Batman. I really liked it both as a film and as a Batman. Not for everyone tho’, I would hesitate to suggest it with no doubt. In the other hand, you don’t have to like “superhero” or “graphic novel” films to enjoy it. Film just do fine as a standalone thriller/detective/mystery.
