"Money is like heroin for boring people"

This script is very blunt. People levy criticism of this and Sorkins work as having unrealistic dialogue. While I understand the sentiment, I've also grown to hate that criticism. Dialog without purpose is dialog, dialog with purpose is art.

Kieran carries as the lynchpin of the film and Eisenberg plays a great neurotic audience stand-in. I think it's a great debut and a good watch.

Everything feels off about this, but it's also PTA so that's to be expected? There's this masculine rage that feels uniquely millennial and impotent, similar vibes in that way to Fight Club. However with the opportunity to deeply explore it, it's just kinda, accepted?

Phillip Seymour Hoffman as usual did not need to go this hard but did anyway, always a treasure.

This movie has no idea what it wants to be which makes it entertaining. Ron Funches on screen having fun gives it another star.

It's fun in a way…
