  random thoughts:

  - why does marty have a cigarette in the poster when we never actually see him smoking during the entire movie?

  - this is more modern that it may seem, almost in an indiesque way

  - feeds the cliché that all italians are mammone

  - it's simple and small, but nobody would probably remember it if not for the oscar. just for the sake of information, the year marty won the academy award there was another film ahead…

  there's this old dude talking to a kid about existencial stuff like death, life, humanity and philosophy. the kid is bored, he doesn't give a fuck about all those things, why would an old man even talk to him like that? so he just goes away and play.

  well, that kid is the only character in the movie i can relate to.
