The Monkey 2025
It took me some time to fully grasp the tone of the film. Going into it completely blind was likely the best approach, as it allowed me to experience the story without any preconceptions. Grafted 2024
Unfortunately it’s hard to top the vanity driven body horror seen in The Substance which comparatively seemed weirdly grounded in reality. There were valiant attempts to create shock within Grafted but most fell short. Arguably the sfx budget was well spent, but the spread of resources definitely lacked in certain moments as the quality fluctuated.
TLDR; I probably won’t watch this film again.
