the plot shifted so many times it felt like watching a tv show. too long for me, but i enjoyed the tonal mixture of dark satire with a really quite sweet emotional sincerity.
was thinking so much of starship troopers and nausicaa in the second half, and this doesn’t necessarily come out well in that comparison, but hey, at least this has freaky rob pattinson(s)!
i am intrigued to know more about who/what they were initially intending on using that gas on…

c’est sûr elles étaient différentes. l’une chantait, l’autre pas. mais, elles étaient aussi pareilles. elles avaient lutté pour conquérir le bonheur d’être femme. peut-être leur lutte optimiste pouvait servir à d’autres. a marie, par exemple, qui devenait une femme. personne ne pensait que ce serait plus facile pour elle, mais ce serait peut-être plus simple, plus clair.
