    i'm honestly not sure how to feel about this one. 

    the performances are incredible but feel severely impacted by the poor dialogue & even poorer script. the cinematography, while stunning, doesn't quite seem to work out. i couldn't take anything seriously with all these ridiculous angles & overly dramatic lighting, it almost felt satirical or ironic. the worst part is that for how hard it tries to be unique & stand out, it hardly does at all. the film doesn't feel as special…

Noe uses dizzying camera movements and noise to evoke an emotion in his audience because his story alone is incapable of doing so.
