Turtles All the Way Down 2024
a one-two punch from those two scenes in a row goddam. also that’s my car but 4 years older and i enjoyed/hated that. watching it with my friend was a good call. wouldn’t recommend a watch alone on a first viewing if you are gonna relate to the mc.

this was good and it made me sad. definitely earned its spot in the film canon.
i feel like it had a lot to say about mothers and daughters, about bodies, and about empathy and cruelty- all of which i found interesting.
but there was a lot of lurid shots of girls bodies which is too much for me in a movie by a man based on a book by a man.
