  Picked up on a lot of subtleties. The somewhat connected universe, dialogue and representation. I was also so strongly impressed with Naomi Watts this time around, and how incredible of an actress she is. The reality sequences, in particular of her in the kitchen and on her couch, and how much pain she exemplifies, is truly incredible. Really good stuff here I will watch again and again and again and again

  Everything Tarkovsky does makes me appreciate life more and more. There’s a lot of pretty insane imagery in this. The girl with a pearl earring homage speaks volumes about Tarkovsky’s goals as an artist. The essence of all his works are captured with a perfect balance between dialogues, and scenery. I wish I could rewatch this again for the first time, and I just finished it.
