This movie was a train wreck. The first 40 minutes or so set up a premise that could've gone in an interesting direction, but it doesn't take the path I was expecting. More problematic, it doesn't take any one path at all. The ending of the movie blends together a bunch of different messages in a way that is confusing and hard to follow. It is difficult to do a film in a setting like Italy when all of the characters are speaking English. The accents are sometimes pretty jarring. Aside from that technicality, the setup for this movie is extremely clunky. Act one has a lot of naked exposition, sometimes for things that we find out later anyway and in a more fitting context.
