The characteristics conveyed in each animal without every uttering a single word was astounding. A wonderful deep, rich world with enough unanswered questions.
I'll be thinking about this film for WEEKS.

It's hard not to feel that my review of this film pales into insignificance when you understand how this film came into existence, the writer/director fled to Germany after being sentenced to 8 years jail, flogging and a fine just for MAKING this film. The world shown here seems so alien but almost millimeters from how our own existence could be carved out.

Simultaneously the most AND least sexy film I've ever seen.
An absolute tour de force that had me laughing, wincing and wincing even more. The pair of female leads are astonishing but Demi Moore is an utter BEAST in this film. Dripping in neon and blood, the making of a modern classic.

This is "Saw" meets "that insufferable guy you knew at uni who took one philosophy class on religion"
I loved that they didn't shy away from the SLOW build (and it is SLOW). Also loved some great uses of silence in the film which I feel like we get less of.
