Watching this for the first time a day after watching the original documentary for the first time and the two complement each other very well. You watch the documentary with some level of unease as you try to determine how exploitative the film is; this gives you permission to finally exhale and smile.
Is it truthful? Is replacing the stars talking in their own voices with actors reading from a script more exploitative? Is cinema still incapable of capturing the true essence of Jacqueline Bouvier/Kennedy/Onassis on screen? Maybe, maybe not, but this worked as a double feature in a wonderful way.
