  it was interesting actually… more of an ideas movie than sexy movie to me? 

  on the ideas of shame, insecurity, power and self destruction 

  it becomes explicit when he asks if she’s using him to ruin her own life… and she was… she wanted to ruin it with some deeper desire to rebuild a version of her life without shame / with acceptance of who she is

  despite her success, she was ashamed and embarrassed of who she is and…
