The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare 2024
THIS WAS SO FUN. Explosions! Murdering Nazis! Handsome Men! It's not suuuppeeerrr historically accurate, but damn was it a good time. Amazing cast, amazing direction, sound design on point. It was never too dark to see or too loud that I was in pain. Kept me on my toes and I loved every single character. All amazingly written.

All the characters are horrible because they're supposed to be horrible. We watched it in my la class so the teacher gave context but also made it harder to get fully involved. But for what it was supposed to be, I liked it. I wouldn't call it a comedy, it's noir and dramatic. The whole time I was pretty neutral towards it, but the last scene got me. The melodramatics, the way we see into her mind, the struggle we see max in as he's trying to work with her but knows she's crazy.

That wasn't what I was expecting when I saw Bette Midler, but omg that was a good ass movie. The way it was told through the jumping of timelines, and how much time passed throughout the story. How it all came together in the end. The ups and downs of their friendship, how real the characters were. I fucking cried at the end dude, that was so good.

Nimona 2023
This was really cute. I saw the very ending coming and who the villain was. But I really like it. Nimona was a good character and Ballister was adorable. He had these big wet eyes and always just wanted to do the right thing. Nimona's story made me want to cry and it was all so beautifully animated. I didn't see the twist about Nimona's past coming. It had a great story, would definitely watch again.
