This was not my first viewing of this movie, but I was still surprised at multiple turns. The constant shifting of power dynamics throughout this movie is a work of art on its own. Ugh I love this movie so much.

Heretic 2024
I found it to be mediocre from a horror movie perspective, and it didn’t have anything interesting or thoughtful to say about religion. However!!!! I loved this Hugh Grant performance and the Radiohead scene was maybe the funniest thing I’ve seen in a movie over the past year. And the Jar-Jar Binx joke. I think the humor was by far the best part of this one.

I see now why this movie have been divisive. If you have never wished your mother was dead - this movie is probably not going to make any sense to you. For me (and I assume others with mothers like this), it was like romping through the deepest, darkest part of my psyche.
