Pleasant surprise of a film. Didn’t know what I was in for, but in the first 15 minutes, I was completely drawn in. Great scenes and cinematography. The film finally had to slow down a little to establish the plot and what we expected to see, and did not expect to see what I did. Not a mind-blowing twist, but one I never saw coming. Worth a watch for sure.

Alien: Romulus 2024
Thank you Fede Alvarez for not only directing but co-writing an Alien movie that is a sequel to the previous 5 movies. This is like the Rogue One of the Alien series. A story that ties into the Alien series but is more of a stand alone. It is on the Alien timeline, but not a continuation from the film before, and not a remake of the original. And like Rogue one, it works beautifully.

John Wick: Chapter 4 2023
I thought nothing could top the original John Wick, but then they released John Wick 2. Thinking they produced the Best John Wick film with 2, they released 3John Wick 3 and did the impossible, made every sequel better than the one before. I was so skeptical about John Wick 4 being able to top any of the previous trilogy, there’s no way they can top it, then Keanu Reeves said “Hold my Beer”.
