  5-star kills in a 2 star movie?
  But the kills make it fun, kinda?

  I really wanted to love this one, but the tone feels off somehow.

  The comedy worked best when it wasn't trying to be funny.

  THAT said, I did laugh quite a few times, but never really on a scripted joke and mostly just on one of those fantastic kills.

  Again, they're really wonderful and any horror fan should check that out based on that alone, but..…

  Tense as hell and really depressing.

  I had a dream that David Lynch made an overly lit Hallmark movie that got re-edited and re-booted and re-made into a J-Horror film with a tone that keeps shifting between melodramedy to police procedural to bleak dystopian social critique... Because sorcerer unions.

  2 hamburg steaks outta 5... in theory...
  But bumping to 4 hamburg steaks because this was a chaotic wtf gift that keeps on giving.

  The Cineplex manager walked to my seat and told me that my Art the Clown mask was scaring the kids in the theatre. Let that sink in.

  
  If you like films about evil demon clowns that love dismemberment, with a dash of ptsd, survivors guilt, and holiday cheer, this is one of those films.
