I have pretty bad facial recognition, but I'd still be like "oh yeah, it's that striking family friend with the blue eyes" as soon as Cillian shows up. I do like a post-apocalyptic Cillian.

Not since Tom Cruise in the decent half of War of the Worlds have characters actually looked properly traumatized by alien invasion. I love the cat, but the mix of semi-realism in its reactions and it being a CGI baby you can take underwater is a little awkward.

Nineteen years of cynicism and war later, turns out this is still an impossibly cinematic, weirdly intimate documentary that justifies many a found footage narrative movie, because, yes, sometimes people do just keep filming.
The only problems with this documentary are James Hanlon narrating too much, and some of the music. But there is honestly not much of either. Sensibly, the film lets the charm of the firefighters, the faces of the shocked Manhattan crowds, and the experience and footage of the Naudet brothers speak for themselves. And boy do they.
