  had to watch it for my theo class. first watch i did not get it & viewed from a skeptical viewpoint, second watch was okay, third watch was actually good. very quiet film (not much dialogue) & slow in many parts but that's kind of the point. beautiful imagery in particular - it is so visible how the monks' love for God is so genuine (Luc with the mural!!!!! + Christophe's poem). also really made me wonder why Christianity and Islam are so polarized. if i were religious i probably would have cried watching the movie but I'm not.

  fun! nice dynamic but i saw the one post/meme thing before i watched the movie where someone was making fun of cynthia erivos smirk-smile and i Could Not Stop noticing it through the whole film..... love that they included og glinda & elphaba
