Borderline case study. Accurate depiction. Beyond perfect. The best films are the ones in which you find yourself. I lived with this woman. I suffered almost mortally and survived. Or did I? There are people who can leave you soul-dead while becoming soul-dead themselves. Time brings numbness. Except when movies like this get dropped, the old wounds surface like a long-dead Lazarus. It had moments. Like that rainy day scene. But it never quite came together. The parts are better than the sum of the whole and that's a sad thing to say about a PTA film. First time ever disappointed by the man. Phoenix was stellar though.
