Been a terrible day, so I thought I’d be generous and try this out again. I like Mags, I like the production design, I think it plays well to McCoy’s physical comedy strengths and I like the meta commentary, even if it is a bit self-deprecatory for its own good. Hmm, despite its political allegory being cartoonishly unsubtle (and unfortunately poorly aged) along with concepts that were probably better fleshed (ha) out in a nearly 15 year old Doctor Who story, I enjoyed it! Mainly due to a) being beautifully made as expected but also b) the very likeable main cast. Especially Mr. Pattinson. It’s no Parasite, but it’s a fun ride, as evident by one guy in the cinema showing absolutely wheezing at it every 5 mins.
