this movie either works for you or it doesn’t. it definitely worked for me. i think it perfectly encapsulates what it feels like to be frightened as a child. the silence is so loud and darkness is a pit. there’s something to be said about the fact that for most of the movie, you don’t know if you’re seeing anything. but that’s exactly what it’s like when you’re little. is it just adults telling you over and over again there’s nothing there or are you actually right this time?
