It is indeed palpable how it was written and directed very closely to the hearts of the people involved. The movie was shot in black and white, and in this particular case, in my humble opinion, it creates a fantastic contrast with the plot, because the protagonist's life is nothing but black and white in a sense of security and stability. It also constantly reminds us the profoundness of Frances' feelings, almost as if being that way is outdated, as black and white is considered nowadays. It is ineffable the way Greta brought to life this amazing character. I'm very grateful for this masterpiece.
