Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind 1984
I saw this in a community theater with fold out chairs and subtitles covered by a bald head so missed possibly 30% of the dialogue. But I loved it, so so much. The scene where the Ohmu taps into her and surrounds her with light almost made me cry. I am Nausicaä and she is me, I get her😌💝

This movie is raging breeders propaganda. Although it redeems itself in the end it’s a cheap solution for a film filled with plot devices centering a girl’s entire worth being solely based on her ability to be desired. And the entire self worth of her mother too! Parts I did like were the costume choices for Penelope, she layered like a motherfucker and ate down the thin brow. The entire film had a hysteric and campy atmosphere that was entertaining…
